Issue 88 - July 2016

From the Assistant Editor:

Greetings from super sunny, super hot New Mexico! I recently returned to the states from a month of traveling out of the country. I make a point to travel a decent amount within the U.S., but there is something so special about getting out of the country. I pay more attention to the differences in culture and cuisine, and I really take time to observe and enjoy the sights and sounds. This type of experience is very refreshing as a visual artist, and it is even more important as serving as a general reminder of what a vast, diverse world we live in. Is that a super obvious and cliché observation? Sure. But I'm not afraid of being a cheeseball if it gives cause for celebration, so let's stay curious and grateful.

Without further rambling I'd like to introduce Issue 88 which brings together work from artists in Germany, Greece, and the Netherlands – a small taste of photography from some of our international friends, Manuel Armenis, Mary Chairetaki and Panos Charalampidis, Mehran Khalili, and Madeleine Kukic. Leo Hsu rounds us out with his review of Mississippi History by Maude Schuyler Clay.

We appreciate you taking the time to read the issue and support the artists. Stay in touch!

Best,

Bree Lamb
Assistant Editor
