Issue 118 - January 2019
From the Managing Editor:
We are very excited to start 2019 with four beautiful, potent bodies of work from Troy Colby, Jamie Ho, Camilla Anne Jerome and Frank Mullaney. These talents artists offer their observations on a range of contemporary issues from personal and familial relationships to cultural and political landscapes. We also have two great book reviews, with Lauren Greenwald covering Halfstory Halflife by Raymond Meeks and Leo Hsu sharing his thoughts on Beyond the Shadows by Judy Glickman Lauder. Charcoal Book Club’s book for January is Liberty Theater by Rosalind Fox Solomon - see the link below for more information about the special offer for Fraction readers. We are also pleased to share links to Another Way of Looking at Love, the most recent monograph by Janelle Lynch, as well as information regarding PhotoLA and all of the great events and programming they have at the end of this month. Check them out!
We can’t thank you enough for your ongoing support of and interest in Fraction. Our jobs are so fun. We have the opportunity to connect with inspired visual artists, and that is what keeps motivating us to share work through our platform. Please submit your projects via our submissions page, or connect with us on social media (@fractionmedia). All of us at Fraction would like to wish you and yours a happy, healthy, productive 2019.
With gratitude,
Bree Lamb
