I am not usually a tech geek nor am I a technophobe, but the fact that someone finally produced a digital SLR with a Movie Mode actually excites me. It’s about time.

I came across this photo over at the New York Times of Sarah Palin. I wonder what her environmental policy is?

Urban Nomad: Urban Outfitters & the Lomographic Society Photo Contest
Urban Outfitters (the clothing shop) and the Lomographic Society (the camera company), are sponsoring a photo contest.
Sounds rather interesting.
First, it’s about your travels.
Second, you have to shoot film.
Cool.
PhotoNOLA going fast
The New Orleans Photo Alliance is reporting that as of this morning, 45 of the 65 spots have been taken.
If you are thinking of going, you’d better sign up ASAP.
Fashion photography and racism
I ran across this story at PDN. Fashion photographer Nick Knight has taken matters into his own hands and put together this video documenting his own disgust and part in what he insists is racism in the fashion industry.
Add this to the L’Oreal being accused of whitening Beyonce Knowles skin color in a recent ad and you have the beginnings of a serious problem for fashion and beauty advertising.
